Once you log in to MyGenworth, our secure customer website, the system will check for all policies/contracts/certificates where you are the policy/contract owner or policyholder/certificate holder and will automatically link them. If you are not the policy/contract owner or policyholder/certificate holder of a policy, you will not be able to link them together.

*Please Note: Your spouse will need to register their policy/contract/certificate separately.

If you believe you already registered for online access and simply forgot your username, use the Forgot Username tool to retrieve it. Then you can log in as usual. Name change due to marriage or divorce:

Online: You may make a name change for marriage or divorce by logging into MyGenworth online account.

Mail or Fax: You can also complete an Address or Name Change form available on our Forms & Documents page. The completed form can be submitted by mail or fax to the address on the top left-hand corner of the form.

Name change due to a reason other than marriage or divorce:

Online: Online: You may update name(s) by completing an Address or Name Change form that is available online on our Forms & Documents page and supplying supporting legal documentation. These documents can be submitted through MyGenworth online account.

Mail or Fax: These completed documents also can be submitted by mail or fax using the information found in the top left-hand corner of the form.

For your protection, we do not accept requests for a duplicate policy via email. You can obtain a copy of your policy/contract/certificate by:

Mail: Please visit us at Forms & Documents page to obtain a copy of the Duplicate Contract Request form.

If you are requesting that we mail the duplicate policy to an address other than the address of record, you must call Customer Service for further assistance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we take this step to ensure your protection.

Genworth is required to generate IRS 1099 / 5498 forms for taxable events. 1099 forms are mailed by the last day of January. If you have not received your 1099 by February 10th, or have any questions, we invite you to call us to speak with a Customer Service Representative. These forms are also available through MyGenworth online account where applicable.

Examples of what may cause a taxable event generally include but are not limited to:

Life Insurance: Policy surrenders, 1035 Exchanges with an outstanding loan, and partial withdrawals.

Long Term Care Insurance: Benefit disbursement, a tax qualified refund, and interest paid on premiums.

Annuities: Ownership change, a withdrawal, or additional premiums.

Life Insurance: We are able to accept requests via fax at 888.325.3299.

Long Term Care Insurance: We are able to accept requests via fax 800.876.8220.

Fixed Annuity: We are able to accept requests via fax at 434.522.2904.

Immediate Annuity: We are able to accept requests via fax at 434.948.5440.

Variable Annuity: We are able to accept requests via fax at 804.281.6178.

VA Trades: We are able to accept requests via fax at 804.484.7198.

Online: You may pay your premium by logging into MyGenworth online account. You may also make a one-time payment with no log In required through Pay Online.

Mail: Please send the payment to the address included on your bill.

We accept personal checks, money orders, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and one time payments using your bank account information. Unfortunately we do not accept credit card payments at this time.

To start EFT:

Online: You may log in to MyGenwoth online account to start an EFT.

Mail or Fax or Email: You may complete the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) form located on the Forms and Documents page. The form may be returned to our office by mail, fax or email using the return information on the form. After your form has been processed, a confirmation letter will be mailed to you.

To discontinue EFT:

Unfortunately you are unable to stop an EFT online. You or the bank account holder will need to call us at 888 GENWORTH (888.436.9678) to speak with a Customer Service Representative.

Life Insurance or Long Term Care Insurance:

Online: You can make a one-time payment with no log in required through Pay Online.

Phone: Call our office at 888 GENWORTH (888.436.9678) to make a payment by phone via our automated phone system and indicate "make a payment" or by speaking with a Customer Service Representative.

Mail: Visit our Forms & Documents page for a Coverage change request form. The completed form must be signed, dated, and submitted by the policyholder(s). After the form has been processed, a confirmation letter will be mailed to the policyholder. 

*Please Note: Before making any benefit changes, we recommend you speak with a licensed agent to discuss available options or contact our Customer Service Center. Most Long Term Care Insurance policies provide 60 days from the policy issue date to request an increase in coverage benefits (Please note that there are some variations in the state of California). A reduction in coverage benefits, within the policy and state limits, is acceptable at any time the coverage is in force.

Life Insurance:

Online: You may log in to view current policy information. Please note that Variable Universal Life is not available online.

Life Insurance:

Online: You may submit a request to change the policy ownership by completing an Ownership and beneficiary designation change form that is available online on the Life Insurance Forms page.

*Please Note: If you are changing ownership of the policy as part of a life settlement agreement, additional requirements may apply. If the policy owner is deceased, a copy of the death certificate, a completed Ownership and beneficiary designation change form and one of the following: Letters of Testamentary, Small Estate Affidavit, Letters of Administrations or any court document showing who may act on behalf of the deceased policy owner.

Annuities: You may submit a request to change the contract ownership by completing an annuity contract change form that is available online on our Annuity Insurance Forms page.

*Please Note: Not all annuity products allow a change of ownership. Those that do allow a change of ownership may have tax consequences. For further information, we recommend you consult your financial and/or tax professional or call us to speak with an Annuity Customer Service Representative.

Life Insurance: A change of ownership may be considered a taxable event. We recommend you consult a licensed tax professional.

Annuities: The tax consequences of an ownership change varies. We recommend you to further discuss tax related inquires with a licensed tax professional.

Long Term Care Insurance:

Email: You may also complete a Third Party Notifier Designee Form that is available online on the Forms and Documents page and email to LTCCustomerService@genworth.com.

For security reasons and to help ensure your privacy, we cannot send policy specific information via email. However, we are able to provide blank forms via email. We can also receive completed, scanned forms via email at LifeCustomerService@genworth.com.

Genworth is required to generate IRS 1099 / 5498 forms for taxable events. 1099 forms are mailed by the last day of January. If you have not received your 1099 by February 10th, or have any questions, we invite you to call us to speak with a Customer Service Representative. These forms are also available through MyGenworth online account where applicable.

Examples of what may cause a taxable Life Insurance event generally include but are not limited to: Policy surrenders, 1035 Exchanges with an outstanding loan, and partial withdrawals.

We are able to accept your requests via fax at 888.325.3299.

Online: You can make certain payments online by logging into MyGenworth online account. You may also make a one-time payment with no log In required through Pay Online.

Mail: Please send the payment to the address included on your bill.

We accept personal checks, money orders, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and one time payments using your bank account information. Unfortunately we do not accept credit card payments at this time.

To discontinue EFT: 

Unfortunately you are unable to stop an EFT online. You will need to call us at 888 GENWORTH (888.436.9678) to speak with a Customer Service Representative.

Registration is easy. Contract owners will need their contract number and Social Security Number to register, which is required to authorize access. Follow the step by step instructions provided on the MyGenworth Registration Page.
