Why did I receive this notice?
Genworth Life Insurance Company, Genworth Life Insurance Company of New York and Genworth Life Insurance and Annuity Company (“Genworth”) have engaged Alliance-One Services, Inc. (“Alliance-One”), a wholly owned subsidiary of DXC Technology, a Fortune 500 global IT services leader and current Genworth IT platform vendor, as its third-party administrator to provide administrative services for its life insurance policies and annuity contracts. Because you have a policy or contract with Genworth, you received this letter to notify you of this change.

Why did I get this notice from Alliance-One and not Genworth?
As the third-party administrator, Alliance-One is required by regulations to provide you a notice that describes its relationship between Genworth, Alliance-One, and you. A third-party administrator is a company that provides administrative services for insurance companies. Those administrative services include customer service functions such as receiving and processing premium payments and claims, completing customer service requests, and processing policy or contract updates.

Will this transition to Alliance-One affect my policy?
No. These changes will not affect how you work with Genworth. Genworth is still the provider of your life insurance or annuity, and your communications will continue to be from Genworth. Alliance-One is only providing administrative services for your policy or contract.

Is DXC or Alliance-One responsible for the payments of my policy or contract's benefits?
No. Alliance-One is only the servicer of your policy or contract. All financial obligations for the payment of benefits and claims remain with the Genworth insurance company that issued your policy or contract, and the contractual provisions for benefits and claims are not changing. In fact, no contractual provisions of your policy or contract are changing.

Does Genworth have enough money to pay my claims? Is my policy safe?

  • All Genworth companies are regulated by State Departments of Insurance, whose primary objective is to ensure that insurance companies protect their obligations to their customers.

  • As part of their regulatory oversight, they require us to maintain certain levels of financial reserves to support each policy, certificate, or contract.

  • Each year, we review and comply with these requirements.

  • The announced transaction with DXC does not change or impair Genworth's ability to comply or satisfy these requirements.
